Polyurethane
Polyurethane tubes are generally the best solution for applications requiring high flexibility and smaller bending radius, or in which kinking would pose a problem.
SHPI polyurethane tubes are designed for the air flow in pneumatic systems. Under normal operating conditions, the tubes have a service life of 3 to 5 years at a
temperature range of -20 and +70°C. These values may vary depending on the operating conditions. Service life of the ESTER BASE polyurethane tubes may
decrease due to high water, moisture, humidity and temperature values.
Hardness Degrees
Shore hardness of the SHPI polyurethane tubes may vary by tube sizes. Tubes with a shore hardness from 72A to 98A, even to 60D, can be manufactured.
Considering the climatic conditions in Turkey, we import the pneumatic tubes with a shore hardness of 95A, 98A and 60D as a result of our own experiences.
Tube Assembly and the Use of PU Notes:
1. Before assembly, please check that the outside diameter, inside diameter and wall thickness of PU tubes should conform to the marked standards printed on the tubes. The wall thickness=(OD-ID)/2, the tolerance standard should correspond to national on industry standards.
2. Please check that the cross-section wall thickness is symmetrical on not. If a deviation is found, one or more segments should bu cut out; check again, if the rest are symmetrical, the tubes can be used. The unsymmetrical wall thickness may cause the break.
3. And please check that the surface of PU tubes has air bubbles, maculae or grains or not. If any, please inspect the PU tubes carefully, if they are serious, please do not assemble and replace at once; if the inferior tubes are used, they will break.
4. Please check that if the surface of PU tubes is bleeding or not, characteristics such as the surface feeling ropy, or dark color, or the cleamess becoming ivory cloudy. Bleeding PU tubes will break after bending for several times. For these PU tubes, pleased do not assemble and replace them immediately.
5. Note of cutting PU tubes: the professional cutter should be used when the PU tubes are cut. The professional cutter can ensure the cross-section smooth and round; in the assembly the PU tubes end should be inserted into fitting end vertically; to ensure the successful joints, a pull can be tried.
6. PU tubes and fittings centerline should not exceed 30 degree at work; when the PU tubes are bended, the minimum bend radius hould be paid more attention for the excessive intertwist, stretching and tortility will affect their working pressure, even break tubes.
7. For the inventory in warehouse, please not “first entry, first using”.
8. When they are stored, PU tubes should be stored in the shady and ventilated places to avoid that they are exposed in the sunshine or piled un in the dankish places.
