There are several types of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) used in technical applications:

• Polyester-based TPU
• Polyether-based TPU

Characteristics:

• High abrasion resistance
• Exceptional flexibility even at low temperatures (-40°C) (low Elasticity Modulus)
• Excellent tear, cut, and puncture resistance
• Good mechanical properties
• Small bending radius thanks to excellent flexibility
• Extremely good transparency
• TPU products resistant to oil and grease, due to their abrasion resistance and very high flexibility, are used in a wide range of applications such as hoses, films, and shoe soles. TPU is used in c.Flex hoses.
